Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose!

Quite possibly one of the best television shows on right now is Friday Night Lights. If you haven't watched it, please please please do yourself a favor, go and get Netfilx immediately and watch the first 2 seasons on Nextflix instant. You will thank me, I promise. The 4th season is currently only being shown on Direct TV channel 101, but NBC will air the whole season later this year. It gives me faith that good television can be life changing, and make you feel like you actually want to live in Texas. ( I apologize to anyone from Texas reading this, I'm a New Englander... who lived in Oklahoma [BOOMER SOONER] and went to Dallas a total of 3 times and knew that I never, ever, wanted to back to Texas again... so please don't take it personally). I am sucked in, and I want Coach Taylor to get the team together and work a miracle... I wish I could be a part of those Friday night games under the lights that this show somehow makes magical week after week. Just listen to me, watch the show, and have your life pleasantly changed.

Big Love, On Demand, and Swansea MA

I moved to Swansea. It's a quaint town that I didn't know existed until about 4 months ago. My apartment is quite cute, and is two levels which is amazing. Swansea is super close to Rhode Island, which I am looking forward to exploring. We neighbor Somerset, and Fall River. I live on a peninsula now, and I can see the water from my bedroom! I love it. We still need decorations, and curtains but its getting there. Now because I've moved to Swansea, I've had to give up Direct TV for Comcast and On Demand. This has enabled me to start watching Big Love, an HBO show all about polygamy and Mormons in Utah. I absolutely love this show and if you haven't watched it, you can On Demand! Oh and because of this, I have started to read Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer. I have very wide and varied tastes, and moving seems to have just broadened by horizons. Funny how that works.

World Series, Game 6

So I'm sitting in my classroom, awaiting my professor to get here and all I can seem to think about tonight is the pulled pork in my fridge that is calling my name across many miles, a beer, and the baseball game tonight. I know I have a test to do, and probably more discussion questions, and perhaps no internet at my new apartment... but all of this is alright because there is baseball on tonight. I am hoping beyond hope that my new domestic partner (aka living with boyfriend) goes out and gets shredded cheese and possibly sour creme for my tacos tonight, to go along with the baseball game. I can't wait.
