Well kids, it has been quite a ride. I have to say this World Cup was full of highs, and lows, and unexpected outcomes per usual. I am so happy Spain won! They were my 2nd favorite team after the United States got the boot, and frankly I couldn't be any happier. Oh wait, I would be if I were in say Madrid or Barcelona tonight celebrating with the rest of the Spanish people! It was an amazing finish for a team who only scored 8 goals over the course of their World Cup run. It only takes one to win. I feel like every four years, we get media coverage for a week before, and the month during the cup, and then soccer falls back off the face of the planet. There are some great friendly matches going on this summer including one at Fenway Park! I just want the media hype (at least in the US) to continue for our MLS players, and to keep the dream alive about 2014!

even though i was rooting for the Netherlands, i certainly didnt mind tho that Spain won. I do wish however it went to shootouts instead of scoring in the 116'...it was a great defense battle until the Dutch lost their man with a red card. GO ESPANAA
